Open Mic on Tuesdays at the 1895 Movie Bar!

We started an open mic night every Tuesday at the 1895 Movie Bar near Kundu.

Some instruments are available in the bar: a real piano, amplified guitars, djumbe and bongos (percussions). you are welcome to bring your own instrument.

All musicians are welcome to share their songs. To encourage you, you can expect a free drink.

Friday, August 28st: David (from the band ‘Show Me’) and Philippe (from the band ‘Horsemann’) will play again some blues and pop from 10pm. Mark is playing with his band Tribal Moon in Laowo Bar so he won’t be there this time.

Saturday, August 22nd: Horsemann will play their set of accoustic songs from 10pm. Roeland is not here this weekend.

Some changes in the concert program this week:

Friday at 22:30: The band called ‘Horsemann’ composed by Eddy (guitar and vocals, Holland), Roeland (guitar and piano, Holland) and Philippe (drum and vocals, France) will perform their set of acoustic songs, and experiment new things.

Saturday at 22:30: James (piano) and Rebecca (vocals) from the jazzy ‘Kunming Social Club’ will play their favourite standards.

Saturday, June 27th at 22:30: The band called ‘Horsemann’ (‘Fillmore‘) composed by Eddy Kneefel (guitar and vocals, Holland), Roeland Nijland (guitar and piano, Holland) and Philippe Semanaz (drum and vocals, France) will perform their set of acoustic songs, and experiment new things.

Sunday, June 28st at 21:30: Tommy Nitro from Oakland, California, USA will sing his blues while playing piano or guitar. His powerful voice should pleasantly tickle your ears.
